When you know that even though he can hear all the pain in your voice and in your crying, he’s still not quite understanding, and that no matter how much you want him to, and no matter how much you hurt, he’s not going to care any more. You know that even in the end, you’re only wasting your time trying to show how much you’re hurting, and you’re only delaying the process, and that he’s just waiting for you to finish the conversation so he can go about his own business.
